Overview
Passport Reader CLC 241 PU is an advanced version
of our PR CLC 231 device. During its design, our goal was to develop
and create a stand-alone image capturing and processing device, thus
making additional desktop PCs unnecessary. To achieve this goal, a
PC 104+ based industrial computer is built in the PR CLC 241 PU.
The PR CLC 241 PU has all of those advantages of the PR CLC 231: true-color
images taken with either white, IR or UV lights, 3 Mpixel image resolution,
fast image taking and processing method and reliable OCR operation.
Thanks to these features, on the taken images even the smallest patterns
and security marks of the personal documents (i.e. passports or IDs)
are clearly visible.
PR CLC 241 PU is delivered with an easy-to-use API supporting C/C++,
Visual Basic and Delphi environments on Windows NT 4.0 and Windows
2000 platforms. Using this functions’ library, custom-tailored
end-user applications can easily be developed thus meeting special
user requirements.
Its structure, the optical characteristics, the built-in industrial
computer and the comprehensive functions library make PR CLC 241 PU
a considerable and cost-effective solution for any application where
high quality, robust and compact construction is a must.
PR CLC 241 device has been developed for anyone interested in high
quality, fast and reliable document verification technology. A checkpoint
equipped with PR CLC 231 can:
- provide fast and reliable document verification at airport passenger
terminals and/or border control points
- enhance customer care services at banks, casinos, hotels or rental
services
- serve as a security tool in military, police or immigration office
institutes etc.
